MIND & BODY CLASSES

MAIN LOCATION

Barre

Barre is a strength and conditioning class using elements of dance to sculpt and define the muscles. We use the ballet barre, balls, bands, hand weights and sometimes bands and discs. This is a workout for every BODY and every level of fitness!

Deep Stretch Yoga

This Yin Yoga style class focuses on deeply stretching and relaxing the body. A busy or athletic lifestyle can build tension in the body, resulting in pain, imbalance, or limited mobility. This class will lengthen commonly tight areas- great for athletes or just active lives. All levels are welcome!

Vinyasa Yoga

This Vinyasa-style class (breath to movement), develops strength and flexibility to find proper alignment and learn modifications specifically for your skeletal structure. The class consists of Sun Salutations, standing postures, basic arm balances, core strengthening, back bends, hip openers, inversions and even some restorative postures. This class will help you build strength, increase flexibility and find focus! Prior Yoga experience suggested.

Foundation Pilates

This class teaches the basics of Pilates that are needed to execute the movements with proper form.

Multi-Level Pilates

In this class, begin to incorporate a variety of exercises with control, breath, concentration and centering. Learn how to initiate energy from the “powerhouse” or abdomen, lower back, hips and buttocks. Prior Pilates experience suggested.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is a unique yoga style that adapts yoga positions and poses through creative use of a yoga chair. The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of the body. The student is able to warm up the body safely and perform yoga poses with more support and stability. Poses are done seated on the chair or the chair is used for support during standing poses, forward and backward bends, side extensions, balancing, and leg and arm stretches. Chair Yoga is suitable for all ages, fitness levels and physical conditions.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga develops strength, flexibility, balance and a connection between body, mind and breath. Expect to hold postures for several breaths with an emphasis on proper alignments. This is a mixed-level class as poses can be modified or advanced to meet various needs.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga is meant to relax and restore. Class begins with a vinyasa flow to warm up the body and finishes with long, restorative poses intended to relax the muscles and relieve stress stored within the body.
