CLASSES

Do What Moves You

Go with what you know, or try something new. From new programs to the classes you love, Life Time’s instructors are passionate, the studios are beautiful, and the energy is beyond compare.

This class includes solid aerobic conditioning and toning work using resistive equipment.  Modifications are demonstrated to accommodate minor joint limitations.  All swimming abilities are welcome.

Aqua Fit and Fun is for anyone who loves the water and wants a fun full body workout with tunes that make you want to move.  This class includes cardio, strength, balance, flexibility and of course fun!  Class is primarily done in the shallow end of the pool and the ability to swim is not required.  Beach volleyball last 15 minutes of class, Wednesday & Friday 10:00 class only.  This class is for all ability levels.

Aqua Gentle Joints is for anyone who loves the water but wants some emphasis put on helping arthritic joints feel better.  The objective is to improve heart health, strength, balance and flexibility that begin to diminish as we age or from living a sedentary.  Class is primarily done in the shallow end of the pool and the ability to swim is not required.  This class is for all ability levels.

Also know as Ai Chi this class will restore the proper flow of energy for good health in the comfort of our 92 degree warm pool.  This class will minimize problems with arthritis.  The warm water allows for slow relaxed movement and increased blood flow to joints, tendons and muscles.  It also increases energy, promotes flexibility, minimizes anxiety, fatigue and depression as water, movement and music are used to create a state of relaxed awareness.

Beginning to advanced exercisers will stay challenged in the shallow end.  Workout focuses on cardio and strength training.  Aqua gloves are recommended but not required.  All ability levels are welcome.

Barre is a strength and conditioning class using elements of dance to sculpt and define the muscles.  We will use the ballet barre for some of our exercises.  This is a workout for every body! Space is limited and you must sign up.

Sign ups must be done online at the Peak website located on the Group Class Schedule. You may also sign-up at the front desk.  You must sign up prior to attending and can do so twenty four hours in advance.  When you sign up, you have a ten minute grace period after the start of the class time.  If you are more than ten minutes late, your spot may be given to another participant.

Basic Synrgy is designed for those who are brand new to exercise or like consistency in a workout.  Workouts are changed at the beginning of each month and include exercise for the entire body to build strength, improve coordination, balance and flexibility. Exercises are done using the Synrgy 360 exercise system and life fitness machines.

Bench & Barre is a fusion class involving toning & stretching allowing one to gain mobility from barre and muscle strengthening using weights to include dumbbells and weighted bar bells.

Enhance bone density, improve balance and strength along with a great
aerobic workout for your heart.

If you have reservations about exercising on your own, or you have physician restrictions due to health limitations or concerns, The Peak CARE Class is just for you!  The Peak CARE Class is a specialty class with experienced trainers who supervise your cardiovascular exercise.  The Peak CARE Trainers monitor blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and weight, ensuring your safety and success!

This class teaches the basics of Pilates that are needed to execute the movements with proper form while sitting in a chair.

Chair Yoga is a unique yoga style that adapts yoga positions and poses through creative use of a yoga chair. The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of the body. The student is able to warm up the body safely and perform yoga poses with more support and stability. Poses are done seated on the chair or the chair is used for support during standing poses,
forward and backward bends, side extensions, balancing, and leg and arm stretches. Chair Yoga is suitable for all ages, fitness levels and physical conditions.

This hour 45 minute cycle and stretch fusion class starts with a heart
pumping 30 minute freestyle cycle class through various terrain followed by 15 minutes of deepstretching for those hard working muscles.  Class is appropriate for all fitness levels.

This class is easy going and fun – learning a variety of dances with great music.  You don’t need a partner, just a desire to move to the music.  Pop in anytime!

This is an active, but relaxing class that blends styles of Yoga to focus on deeply stretching and relaxing the body. A busy or athletic lifestyle can build tension in the body, resulting in pain, imbalance, or limited mobility. This class will focus on relieving commonly tight areas, lengthening muscles and maintaining alignment- great for athletes or just active lives. All levels are
welcome!

This class teaches the basics of Pilates that are needed to execute the
movements with proper form.

If you’ve never done Yoga, this class will work for you!  Basic level moves that you can expand on if you like, so come even if you have Yoga experience and you, too, will be challenged.

Come and enjoy what indoor cycling has to offer!  Improve your cardiovascular health, burn calories, build muscle, and have FUN!  Beginners: Please pop into any class and participate for 10-20 minutes, stretch and go!! Slowly work up to completing the entire class.  Let your instructor know your intention.

Les Mills GRIT is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout designed with short rounds of high-intensity exercise followed by periods of strategic recovery to increase aerobic fitness, increase muscle tissue burn lots of calories and get fit fast.  Because of the intensity of GRIT, Les Mills recommends two HIIT workouts a week as part of a balanced training plan.

H2O Challenge is a balance of high-energy aerobics and strength training.  We use the full length of the pool using various aqua tools and interval training to add a challenge to your current workout routine.

Insanity uses MAX Interval Training to get you results you want!  Each workout keeps you constantly challenged as you alternate between aerobic and anaerobic intervals performed at your MAX.  The result?  Burn up to 1,000 per hour and get INSANE results!

High Intensity Interval Training meets strength training with the use of a kettlebell! Dynamic and different workouts will be sure to challenge your body and build endurance.

BODYFLOW™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and
strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

Les Mills BODYPUMP is a weights class for absolutely everyone!  This form
of weight training will make you toned, lean and fit.  Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition (reps), BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout that burns lots of calories. It’ll also tone and shape your body, without adding bulky muscles. If you’re new to BODYPUMP come early and talk to your instructor about the best way to get your journey started!

Les Mills RPM is an indoor cycling class, set to the rhythm of motivating music.  It burns a lot of calories and gets you fit! RPM uses a series of simulated climbs and sprints to create a workout where you control the instensity – it's literally easier than riding a bike! Plus it will leave you with a sense of accoumpliment and feeling euphoric, ready to come back for more!  If you are new to cycle classes come early so we can set you up on the bike and we recommend you start off with 4 or 5 tracts and workup to a full class.

RPM Express is an indoor cycling class, set to the rhythm of motivating

Les Mills SPRINT is a 30-minute workout of high intensity, designed using an indoor bike to achieve fast results.  SPRINT™ is built on the science of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) where short bursts of anaerobic training sets are done. Instructor will be on and off the bike motivating participant through difficult sets.

In this class, begin to incorporate a variety of exercises with control, breath,
concentration and centering.  Learn how to initiate energy from the “powerhouse” or abdomen, lower back, hips and buttocks.  Prior Pilates experience suggested.

Multi-Level Synrgy can be adapted to all levels but does offer a greater challenge than our basic synrgy for participants.  Workouts are changed weekly and include exercises to challenge the entire body by building strength, improving coordination, balance and flexibility. Exercises are done using the Synrgy 360 exercise system and life fitness machines.

This Vinyasa-style class (breath to movement), develops strength and flexibility to find proper alignment and learn modifications specifically for your skeletal structure. The class consists of Sun Salutations, standing postures, basic arm balances, core strengthening, backbends, hip openers, inversions and even some restorative postures. This class will help you build strength, increase flexibility and find focus!  Prior Yoga experience suggested.

OULA® is a high-energy, easy to learn, calorie burning, crazy-fun dance workout to Top 40 hits. Classes are one epic hour of sweat, joy, and total inspiration! OULA® is Dancemania for the Soul.

It’s physical education for grown-ups!  The class varies between circuits, games and going outdoors when the weather permits!  Enjoy the camaraderie with this intense workout!

This is a high energy, challenging HIIT-based class that will help improve your endurance and strength.  Every week is a different workout fully equipped with a positive atmosphere, motivating music, and an "all in this together" feel.

Define yourself!  No weights, no jumps.  Just basic core results!  PiYo combines the muscle sculpting, core firming benefits of pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages you get from yoga. This fat burning, low impact workout leaves your body looking long, lean and beautifully defined.

High-energy, heart-pumping kickboxing class set to fun music. Have a blast, release stress and feel like a champ while burning lots of calories.  Great for all levels of fitness.

Energizing full body cardio workout to really tone your glute and thighs.  Cardio blocks push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body.

A light level P.A.C.E. (Progressive Aerobic Circuit Exercise) class modified to fit your individual needs.  Build a little more strength and stamina at your own PACE!

You’ll spend the first 30 minutes of this beginner cycle class spinning to
the oldies.  Then we’ll bring it down for the last 15 minutes with stretches that help lengthen your muscles.  You’ll leave feeling great and ready for your day!  This class is geared toward the beginner but all levels are welcome.  Please come 10 – 15 minutes early if it is your first time so we can get you set up on a bike.

Come join us for Senior Strength and movement! Hand held weights, elastic tubing and resistance ball are used to increase muscular strength and range of motion. A chair is offered for balance, seated and standing support. This class does not contain a cardio element.

This fun and exciting class is designed around simple movements that are done in or around a chair.  Upbeat music, social interaction and laughter all combine for a great fitness opportunity.  You’d be amazed what a great workout you’ll get!

The SilverSneakers Circuit workout offers standing, low-impact
choreography alternated with standing upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball. A chair is available for support.

Get ready to move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a type of cardiovascular training that combines intervals of MAXIMUM effort followed by a complete recovery.  Your body will transform with these functional and strength training moves on the Synrgy360.  Our Synrgy HIIT classes will push you to your MAX!

Total Body Conditioning class is an exciting mix of weights, bands, steps,
and cardio will be used to improve your heart health.  This class is open to all levels of fitness and you do not need any experience to attend.

Climb hills, walk through valleys, jog along a mountain trail – all without leaving The Peak! Trek your way on a treadmill while your instructor takes you on an adventure.  (Limited space.)

TRX Training with cardio and strength intervals for the perfect cross-training
workout!

We bring the beauty of the outdoors inside for these amazing video rides.  Each month we will take you to a new destination somewhere is the world.  During the ride, we all cycle together as a group, while the instructor leads you through various terrains.  This class is perfect for all fitness levels and although we ride for an hour, if you need to shorten your tour you can leave at any time.
